Greetings! This volume is coming a bit later than usual – I’m back from a weekend of traveling and this week has held a lot of projects that are equal parts exciting and time-consuming. I expect to be back on schedule next week. :)
This is 10 Beautiful Things, where I’ll share ten things I’ve found beautiful this week, online or off. In sharing them, I hope to share some beauty with you, and encourage you to find (and share!) some beautiful things of your own.
The beauty of getting more comfortable and open with newer friends as they transition into becoming older friends.
I completed my first ever trail race this weekend and it reminded me how wonderful it feels to hike, to gain a thousand feet of elevation, and to look out on mountains at a cold and windy peak. It’s a top ten feeling for me.
Returning to Virginia after a weekend up north (where it is still winter, and the forsythia are just starting to emerge) and being greeted by the SPRING TREES. It is a color palette I could look at all day. No camera can truly capture the delicate fresh greens, auburns, pinks of it, and I don’t think I could capture it in paint either, though I’d like to try someday.
This shower tile from our Airbnb that had koi on it. 😍
A specialty latte from a coffee shop that isn’t overly sweet and syrupy.
My dad does not tell dad jokes constantly, but seems to tell them in a high concentration on happy life event days (like on my wedding day, when Anna banished him from the Airbnb where we were getting ready because I was laughing too much for her to properly do my makeup). He was at it again on a recent exciting day.
An abundance of spring flowers around me this year (or maybe I’m just noticing them more?).
Jon Guerra’s new album, especially the first song.
Our azalea bush out front, starting to bloom. It’s her world; we’re all just living in it.
What’s something beautiful you found this week?
